  • Overview

    Responsible for maintaining a high standard of excellence in professionalism relating to exercise program design, class and private session  content and preparation, studio upkeep, team involvement, and member safety and satisfaction.  Adherence to PRO’s core values and mission statement is expected and is critical to the success of the PRO Sports Club Group Fitness Department.

     

    Responsibilities

    - Puts member safety and satisfaction first

    - Assists in assuring Studios are safe and “Show Ready” at all times

    - Accepts member feedback in a positive, constructive manner and passes concerns on to supervisor

    - Adheres to scheduled responsibilities including attending mandatory department meetings and team functions

    - Design and implement personalized Pilates programs

    - Track client progress  using medical grade charting Familiarity of various Pilates styles and equipment

    - Remains current in continuing education credits and Pilates certification

    - Develop strong working relationships with PRO Personal Trainers and Physical Therapists

    - Must have a cooperative attitude and be willing to work extra hours and be flexible

    - Has enthusiasm for PRO Sports Club and for position as a part of the group fitness team

    - Prepares for class & clients, arrives early, greets participants by name, uses microphone and remains after class to be available to the participants

    - Continually works to keep content up to date, creative, and entertaining

    - Wears uniform designated by club policy

    - Represents a healthy positive role model

    - Is an excellent communicator and positive leader with a friendly and outgoing personality

    - Performs other related duties as assigned by management

    - Willing to support Bellevue or Seattle when called upon including subbing or accepting shifts, classes or appointments, and extending policies, procedures, programs and the PRO culture at both locations

    - Knowledge of and skilled in the use of Pilates equipment, including: Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrells

    - Knowledge of industry standards, ACE Group Fitness Instructor guidelines

    - Knowledge of body alignment, muscle balance, cardiorespiratory conditioning, heart rate and RPE monitoring

     - Skilled in the operation of stereo equipment, microphone if used

    - Skilled in time management, scheduling, and organizing charts and files

    - Ability to assess members’ needs, respond to concerns and follow up

    - Ability to maintain confidentiality of clients and their files

    - Ability to communicate to members and staff in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner

    - Ability to listen patiently and courteously then reacts positively to member and staff suggestions

    - Ability to motivate class participants

    - Ability to maintain positive attitude at all times

    - Ability to represent self professionally and be a positive role model

    - Ability to recognize hazardous health conditions and respond to complications by following emergency procedures

     

    Compensation: Commission- Competitive pay structure

    ***Candidates who start out at full time hours working a mix of weekday evening and weekends will qualify for up to a $8,000.00 sign on bonus.

     

    Qualifications

    - Nationally recognized Pilates instructor certification or training fully completed with certification in progress. Must have training in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrells.

    - Current CPR & AED certification

    - Experience in leading groups & working with private clientele

    - 1 year experience in a health club or studio environment highly preferred
