  • Overview

    Our Club Events Specialist must live out our mission and create a fun, safe, and exciting atmosphere each day. This position must be able to lead by example and articulate the mission statement and goals of the department and club. This position must have the characteristic of a lead instructor and consistently display enthusiasm, energy, and leadership. This position will display the ability to always keep the priorities of the department and the club in the forefront each day. The Club Events Specialist will also be responsible for entertaining kids and keeping them safe, as well as creating positive experiences for our adult members.

    Responsibilities

    Family Fun Weekend
    - Setup and take down inflatables and activities in the Pavilion
    - Be a leader for Family Fun Night by creating a fun environment for kids
    - Ensure the inflatables and activities in the Pavilion are set up properly and safe for kids, keeping the “big picture” in mind throughout the evening
    - Interact with kids and their parents while being engaged in conversations
    - Help train newly hired cast members with the philosophy and goals of the program
    - Monitor kids playing within designated stations, consisting of inflatables and other play structures
    - Help in the rotation of cast between stations, as well as during breaks
    - Walk through Pavilion regularly to make sure things stay clean and are in order
    - Answer any questions members may have

     

    Special Events and Birthday Parties
    - Setup and take down attractions, activities, decorations, party room arrangement and other items as needed
    - Play games and swim with the kids, while being actively engaged in the party activities
    - Assist with serving food, cake, and party refreshments
    - Supervise kids and adults for birthday parties, morale, & teambuilding events
    - Lead large group activities creating an active and fun environment
    - Clean up designated area to meet club standards, including taking out trash, decorations, etc.
    - General housekeeping – clean tables, chairs, countertops, vacuum, & sweep floors
    - Perform other related duties as assigned by management

     

    Friday Night Zumba
    - Setup and take down Zumba stage, lighting, audio equipment, and related attractions
    - Help with any combined department initiatives/projects within the Pavilion as needed
    - Be attentive to Zumba operations, ready to immediately respond to technical or equipment issues

     

    All Sport Camps - Seasonal
    - Coaching kids in the fundamentals of sports, teamwork, developing their skills, and sportsmanship, while creating a fun-filled experience
    - Supervise campers and follow safety measures and standards at all times
    - Set an example and encourage fitness, exercise, and proper nutrition
    - Organize structured drills and games including but not limited to; Soccer, Basketball, Dodgeball, Kickball, Badminton and Baseball while keeping it fun and developing skills
    - Performs special projects as assigned, while adhering to PRO Sports Club core values

    Morale & Teambuilding Events
    - Organize and lead a variety of group games, including but not limited to: Soccer, Laser Tag, Dodgeball, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Kickball, Capture the Flag, and more
    - Set-up and coordinate food areas while serving food and refreshments
    - Clean up facility including: Vacuuming, taking out garbage, tabletops, chairs & restrooms
    - Help transport laser tag equipment to/from Pavilion and Soccer Arena
    - Restore Soccer Arena facility into a working environment for the following programs

    Recreation Sports League Assistant
    - Assist with Basketball, Dodgeball or Soccer Adult Leagues as a referee or scorekeeper
    - Coach kids in a variety of sports – Junior Hoops, Micro Soccer, etc – ages 3 to 17

     

    Compensation: $14.00/hr - DOE

    Qualifications

    - Background in playing team sports, or an interest in sports, and/or related activities
    - Background working with youth in a childcare and/or youth supervision capacity
    - Current Child/Adult CPR & AED Certification. Must be Red Cross or American Heart Association Certification (required)
