  • Overview

    Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care activities to assist medical professional providers in the treatment of cosmetic dermatology and dermatology services. Provides exceptional customer service and anticipates needs of patients and guests of the Medical Spa at PRO Sports Club, while enforcing club/spa rules and policies. Job responsibilities are performed with enthusiasm and friendliness and a willingness to help others. Adherence to PRO’s core values and mission statement is expected and critical to the success of the Medical Spa and PRO Sports Club.


    - Demonstrates high level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary to consistently receive and greet patients, guests, members and cast members in a professional and warm manner
    - Put all patients into a clean, warm robe and room them in a timely manner corresponding to the schedule
    - Take patient history and necessary vitals for all new patients and/or annual skin/mole checks
    - Call patients back with pathology and lab reports within 24 hours of received results and document appropriately
    - Make sure all necessary refill requests are completed within 24 hours and documented
    - Document all phone conversations between patients and pharmacies
    - Take before/after photos for all new cosmetic procedures and repeat procedures if provider specifies
    - Verify patients initial and sign all parts of consent forms prior to any medical or cosmetic procedure
    - Follow up with patients by phone to answer any post-procedure questions about skin or wound care
    - Prepare patients for examination and all procedures done by Physician, PA or NP
    - Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
    - Prepares solutions and syringes for all injectable appointments
    - Administer injections and apply dressings as instructed
    - Distribute medications as directed by Physician, PA, or NP
    - Enter billing on super-bill for routine visits
    - Enter in charges for the provider in NoteStation through the day or at the end of the day
    - Be present in the exam room when the provider performs a procedure and assist to facilitate
    - Review post-procedure instructions with each patient and provide samples when necessary
    - Prints out physician and NP’s schedule and reports on a daily basis
    - Proactively coordinates and follows up with patient appointments
    - Keeps product supplies for all treatment rooms full and in clean, sanitary condition
    - Handles numbing of patients prior to treatment
    - Coordinates the various paperwork required for all visits, including fee slip, consent form,
    And insurance forms
    - Confer with patients to obtain information for charting, explain procedures, allay fears and elicit cooperation
    - Opens up all treatment rooms and prepares for arrival of patients
    - Places orders for supplies needed with management approval.
    - Clean, pack and autoclave surgical instruments
    - Take pre and post pictures when required
    - Call in various medications to patient pharmacy
    - Handles incoming and outgoing calls to Physician, PA or NP patients
    - Participates in the training and new treatment programs offered in the Medical Spa
    - Performs services as related to the services trained and qualified for
    - Assist in the maintenance, care and cleaning of all equipment and supplies
    - Assist Physician, PA and NP in surgical and/or other procedures as required
    - Helps to keep medical office and treatment rooms show ready at all times
    - Monitors log sheets for all equipment settings
    - Assist in the maintenance of records and files reflecting up-to-date patient progress, care plans, insurance and HIPPA compliance
    - Recommends retail products to clients to extend treatment at home
    - Follows service guidelines set for all treatments and equipment
    - Gives undivided attention to the patients, members and guests in the Medical Spa
    - Willing and able to work extra hours and a flexible schedule when called upon
    - Attends all department meetings
    - Communicates questions and concerns by members, patients and cast members to Lead Patient Care Coordinator or Manager immediately
    - Reports any unprofessional behavior from patient or other cast members to Manager immediately
    - Makes suggestions to improve work methods
    - Performs other related duties as assigned by management


    Compensation: $18.00/hr - DOE

    - Medical Assistant Certification Required
    - At least 2 years of MA experience preferred
    - At least 1 year experience in dermatology
    - Certified or able to be certified at levels A, C, and E (WA Health Care Assistants must be at least certified at A,C, E, levels in order to perform job duties listed)
    - Familiarity with EMR (electronic medical records) is a plus
    - Knowledge of Cosmetic Dermatology
    - Current CPR Certification required (From either Red Cross or American Heart Association)
